The Village of Hillsborough uses the services of the SPCA to provide Dog Control services. You can report stray dogs or report complaints 506-854-2150 or by contacting the Village Office. If you need to reach an animal control officer (for dogs only) outside of regular business hours, you can contact 506-961-0991. You may leave a message at either of these numbers and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
Please contact the Village Office to arrange obtaining your 2022 DOG TAGS.
Dog Tags are available for purchase beginning January 1 to March 31 each year. Dog tags MUST be purchased by March 31st each calendar year; failure to purchase tags by March 31 may result in issuing a fine for non-compliance. Dog tags can be purchased at the Village Office. To purchase a dog tag, you must provide proof of current rabies vaccination from the administering veterinarian. The cost of dog tags below:

Dog Owners – please remember to pick up after your dogs when you are out walking on Village streets and trails, as per the Stoop & Scoop Bylaw.
