The Hillsborough Arena reopens for Public & Family Skates beginning THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22. The recent mandate set by the Province of New Brunswick requires that every one who is eligible (aged 12 and older) who is entering a sports facility must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or provide a valid medical exemption. There will be a staff member at the Arena entrance checking for proof of vaccination and a government-issued identification. Once inside the Arena, patrons are required to wear masks at all times, except while eating or drinking. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Public Skating Schedule for October & November Below.
Youth ten (10) & under are required to wear a CSA approved protective helmet on the ice. Helmets are strongly encouraged for all users and the Village of Hillsborough reserves the right to require the wearing of a protective helmet by any person over the age of ten (10) should the arena attendants determine it is required based on skating ability.
Friends of the Hillsborough Arena is a group of community members who have come together to assist the Village of Hillsborough in obtaining funding through all means to improve the Hillsborough Arena. The Friends have provided a new door, a much needed bathroom upgrade as well as a major ice surface lighting upgrade! More recently, the Friends have installed a sound system inside the arena. They fund-raise year-round to better our community’s arena and ensure our youth will always have a place to call their home arena.
