The Hillsborough Community Pool is open!

Due to COVID-19, there will be significant changes to the pool operations this year that you may want to note:
-There will be no Red Cross Swim Lessons offered this year.
-Pre-screening questions for COVID-19 will be posted at the pool entrance and patrons are asked to review the questions at each visit. Your full name and telephone number will be required for record keeping.
-Swim times will be divided into one-hour sessions, having a cost of $1 per session.

Pool Hours for Public Swim (Children 12 & under must be supervised by an adult)
Monday – Friday
Tuesday, same as above with an additional Adult Swim 6pm-7pm (max. 4 adults)
Thursday, same as above with an additional Family Swim 6pm-7pm

-The pool will be operating on first come, first served basis, with the option for pre-registration. Pre-registration may be done by calling the pool at 734-3702 (beginning 10 am on June 29). Failure to show up to your pre-registered sessions may result in the inability to pre-register for future sessions. If you’re going to be late for your session, please call the pool to advise the pool staff, so your spot is not given to the next person waiting to access the pool.
-Maximum capacity (Public and Family Swim) 10 people in the pool and 10 guardians poolside. There will be no seating/benches provided for guardians this year.
-Social distancing requirements are to be maintained, poolside and in the water. A minimum of 2 metres from others at all times.
-Changing rooms will be limited to 2 persons at a time. It may be helpful for you to show up to the pool in swimming attire.
-Children 12 & under must be supervised by an adult.

To have a successful summer at the pool, it requires the full cooperation among all pool staff, municipal workers, and pool patrons. Only through this cooperative effort can the Hillsborough Community Pool open safely and responsibly.
Without these necessary changes, we would not be able to open the pool – please know we do appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
The COVID-19 situation is dynamic, fluid and changing frequently, and as such, this opening plan will be updated accordingly. All procedures and codes of practice are subject to change.

Patrons are not to complain to or harass the guards or other staff regarding COVID-19 measures. The operational plan for the pool has been created based on the guidance that has been received from Worksafe NB, Public Health and the Province of New Brunswick.
