Hillsborough Arena

The Hillsborough Arena is the heart of Hillsborough for many local residents and their children. The Arena is open seasonally from October until the Fundy Blades Annual Ice show at the end of March. The arena is used by many groups from Minor Hockey teams, Fundy Blades Figure Skating, Men’s pickup games and more! Rest assured these bleachers are well worn from many years of parents, grandparents, and spectators rooting on their favorite skaters. Friends of the Hillsborough Arena is a group of community members who have come together to assist the Village of Hillsborough in obtaining funding through all means to improve the Hillsborough Arena. The Friends have recently provided a much needed bathroom upgrade as well as a major facility lighting upgrade! They fundraise year-round to better our community’s arena and ensure our youth will always have a place to call their home arena. Visit them on Facebook for more information: Friends of the Hillsborough Arena
Further to this partnership with the municipality, the Federal and Provincial government are cost sharing a 1.5 million dollar upgrade to the arena, which is set to commence in the Spring of 2019.
