Atlantica Outdoor Recreation Center

Atlantica Outdoor Recreation has spent the past 5 years developing the paintball field here in Hillsborough. A truly unique experience, open year round! “Our goal is to help bring paintball to the next level. Through unique offerings like our indoor facility to prep for games on our woodsball style field and year-round events. Gray Brook Marsh Wildlife Habitat & Wetland Park Walking Trails

A walk along the lake on Grey Brook Marsh features an active fish ladder and dam along with a wide variety of wildlife. This prime hotspot is the first place to visit for bird watchers and those who wish to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. The Bay of Fundy is a major migratory for ducks, and these are easily spotted from shore. Hillsborough offers trails for all ages and showcases many natural, historic, and geological sights. Wildlife can be found all around these trails, but please observe from a respectable distance. Hillsborough Arena

The Hillsborough Arena is the heart of Hillsborough for many local residents and their children. The Arena is open seasonally from October until the end of March. The arena is used by many groups from Minor Hockey teams, Fundy Blades Figure Skating, Men’s pickup games and more! Friends of the Hillsborough Arena is a group of community members who have come together to assist the Village of Hillsborough in obtaining funding through all means to improve the Hillsborough Arena. They fundraise year-round to better our community’s arena and ensure our youth will always have a place to call their home arena. Hillsborough Golf Club

The Hillsborough Golf Club is located at 443 Golf Club Road. Beautiful greens on this well maintained 18-hole course with amazing scenery. Picturesque setting with challenging holes makes this a desired course to experience in summer and autumn. Book your Tee Time online or by calling 506.734.6000.
This no reservations required pub-style eatery, The Hills Restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and supper is suitable for golfers, couples and families. Be sure to enjoy a cold beverage on the deck overlooking the ninth green! Looking for a location for a reception, or private party, consider this fantastic venue!


Hillsborough Mastadon

Visit the site where the Hillsborough Mastadon was discovered in 1936, one of the best preserved and most complete ever discovered. (remains now located in the NB Museum in Saint John, NB)

Hillsborough Public Library

Shared with the Municipal Office Building, the Library is located at 2849 Main Street. Offering the best choice of books, magazines, newspapers and DVDs; something for all ages! Public computers are available to surf the net, catch up on news, send an email or even work on your resume. You can also visit their Facebook page for upcoming activities, crafts or events. Planning on getting active? You can rent walking sticks, pedometers, binoculars and bird-watching books at the library and as always, free of charge.

New Brunswick Railway Museum

Centrally located at 2847 Main Street, this is one of our two Must-See Museums while you visit Hillsborough. Rich in history, this museum houses an extensive collection of railway artifacts. To read up on the history and to view the schedule of hours for tours, please visit New Brunswick Railway Museum. You may also contact the Museum by calling 506.734.3195 to reserve your tour. The Museum is currently open seasonally.

Petitcodiac Dykeland Trails

A pleasant stroll around an active beaver pond, and numerous duck ponds, to the dykes along the Petitcodiac river where the remnants of numerous old docks and the old gymsum silos may be viewed.

Battle of the Petitcodiac – 1755

Stroll the marshes where the Battle of the Petitcodiac was fought here on the site of the Acadian Village des Blanchards, one of the only major defeats of the British in the 7-Years war. The Monument which depicts the event can be viewed near the parking area at the Village Office / NB Railway Museum.

White Rock Recreational Area

Enjoy beautiful walking and mountain bike trails. Located on the Golf Club Road, just before the Hillsborough Golf Club.
The Village of Hillsborough is very pleased to have the Codiac Cycling Tails committee manage and maintain this trail system that provides well maintained and unique trails for all outdoor enthusiasts. This prominent historical site is located at 40 Mill Street. This is the birthplace of  Honorable William Steeves, Father of Confederation.
